Updating the Database and Access Modes

You can update the database and access modes of a DB system.

Note

If the DB system has HeatWave cluster enabled, you cannot set the database mode to read-only.

Using the Console

You can update the database and access modes of a DB system.

Do the following to update the database and access modes of a DB system:

  1. Open the navigation menu, and select Databases, and under HeatWave MySQL, select DB systems.
  2. Click the name of the DB system to open the DB system details page.
  3. Click the Edit link adjacent to the database mode or access mode under the Management section.
  4. In the Update database and access modes dialog box:
    • Select the database mode if required.
      Note

      You cannot select read-only database mode if the DB system has a HeatWave cluster attached to it.
    • Select the access mode if required.
  5. Click Save changes.
