Resolving Storage Update Issue
A DB system storage update can fail due to various reasons such as service limits, customer tenancy limits, or issues in networking or block storage.
Using the Console
Use the Console to resolve the storage update issue.
This task assumes the following:
- You get the following error:
Cannot backup the DB system,<NameOfDBSystem>, as a DB system storage increase operation has failed. Please retry increasing the DB system storage. - The work requests show a failed storage update operation.
Do the following to resolve the storage update issue:
- Increase the amount of storage available to the DB system by any of these
methods:
- For a DB system that is running MySQL Server
8.0.27-u3-cloudor a higher version, by using an action in the console. See Increasing the Storage of a DB System. - For any MySQL Server version, by backing up the DB system and moving it to a new DB system that has a larger storage size. See By Backup and Restore Action.
- For a DB system that is running MySQL Server
