Creating a Resource

The Oracle Database Service for Azure (OracleDB for Azure) Portal focuses on primary Oracle Databases. There are other resources that are created through the Create a resource blade.

  1. Select Create a resource from OracleDB for Azure Portal.
  2. From the list of available resources, shown in the image, select the resource you wish to create.
    1. The Oracle Autonomous Database, Oracle Exadata Database, Oracle Base Database, and Oracle HeatWave icons on OracleDB for Azure use a similar UI with slightly different options. There are Create links for those objects on those blades.
    2. The Oracle Exadata System Create flow is a combination of the Oracle Exadata Infrastructure, Oracle Exadata VM Cluster, and Oracle Exadata Database Create flows.
    3. You can individually create an Oracle Exadata Infrastructure, Oracle Exadata VM Cluster, or Oracle Exadata Database.
    4. Oracle Exadata VM Clusters require Oracle Exadata Infrastructure.
    5. Oracle Exadata Databases require an Oracle Exadata VM Cluster.
    6. The MySQL HeatWave Create flow provisions an Oracle HeatWave database.
