Exadata Exascale Storage Vault
Learn how to configure Exascale Storage and create Exascale Storage Vaults on an existing Exadata Infrastructure.
- Configure Exascale Storage on an Existing Exadata InfrastructureNote
Ensure that the following prerequisites are met before proceeding:- You must have Exadata Infrastructures running system software with Database Server version 25.1.7 (or later). If you do not have an existing Exadata Infrastructure, you can create one by following the Exadata Infrastructure steps.
- You must use Storage Server version 25.1.8 (or later), or 25.2.2 (or later).
- You must use Oracle Grid Infrastructure version 26ai and Oracle AI Database version 26ai.
- From the Oracle Database@Azure portal, navigate to Oracle Exadata Database Service on Dedicated Infrastructure.
- Select your Exadata Infrastructure from the list that you are using.
- From the Overview page, select the Configure Exascale link, and then complete the following substeps:
- On the Configure Exascale storage page, enter the desired storage capacity in the Storage capacity for Exascale (TB) field.
Note
You can scale up or down your Exascale storage online at anytime from the OCI console. - Select the Submit button to apply the changes.

- On the Configure Exascale storage page, enter the desired storage capacity in the Storage capacity for Exascale (TB) field.
- Once it is complete, you can see the Exascale storage (TB) information under the Exadata resources in the Overview page.

Create an Exascale Storage Vault- From the Oracle Database@Azure portal, navigate to Oracle Exadata Database Service on Dedicated Infrastructure.
- Select your Exadata Infrastructure from the list that you are using.
- From the left menu, expand the Settings section, and then select Exascale Storage Vaults.
- Select the + Create Exascale Storage Vaults button, and then complete the following substeps:
- The Subscription field is selected by default.
- The Resource group field is selected by default.
- Enter a descriptive Name for your Exascale Storage Vault. The display name must be 1 to 255 characters, of letters, numbers, underscores (_) and hyphens (-). Display name must start with a letter or underscore(_) and cannot contain two successive hyphens(-).
- Enter a storage capacity in the Storage capacity for Databases (TB) field.
- Select the Submit button to save the changes.

- Once it is created, the State will change to Available, and you can review it from the Exascale Storage Vaults page.
