Verifying and Accessing Apache Solr

Note

This step is only applicable if your Big Data Service cluster version is 3.0.3 or below. The Big Data Service Version is displayed on the Cluster Information tab of the cluster details page.
  1. Login to Apache Ambari.
  2. From the side toolbar, under Services click Infra Solr.
  3. From the Actions menu, click Run Service Check.
  4. From the Quick Links section, click Solr Admin UI. If this does not work, you may need to update the IP address in etc/hosts. Alternatively, you can access the Solr Admin UI using the following URL. You would not be required to provide login credentials. In case you are prompted for credentials, you can use ranger.audit.solr.username for username and ranger.audit.solr.password for password. These values are provided in step 6 of installation of Apache Ranger using Apache Ambari.
