Fleet Application Management now supports improved patch and compliance management at scale

This release of Fleet Application Management have introduced several new and enhanced features.

The new features are as follows:

  • Ability to manage runbooks and runbook tasks, including custom runbooks, a library of customizable prebuilt modules for common IT tasks, and Oracle-provided runbooks. Custom runbooks allow you to design runbooks for orchestrating patch operations or other IT operations to meet specific needs. For more information, see runbooks.
  • Compliance policies have been added to define patch compliance rules for products, improving patch compliance and security posture while reducing risk by ensuring that products are always up-to-date. For more information, see compliance policies.
  • Integration with various Oracle technologies (Oracle Base Database Service, Oracle Exadata Database Service, Oracle WebLogic Server, Oracle Java, Oracle HTTP Server, Oracle Linux, Oracle Clusterware, and Oracle Exadata OS) has been implemented for patching. To know the complete list of supported products and their versions, see supported products.
  • A fully managed patches screen has been included, allowing you to upload custom patches, apply patches to specific components or an entire stack, or roll out a patch across several resources. For more information, see patches.
  • The "Bring your own product" feature enables you to define new software products, product stacks, discovery logic, and custom patch runbooks, allowing centralized patch operation across your entire enterprise portfolio. For more information, see product metadata.
