Release Notes:

Notable Changes

The following changes are notable in this image update:

  • Includes OS updates for bug fixes and security patches.
  • Fixes an issue with the oci-linux-config package that would replace a modified /etc/oci-hostname.conf file with the default version of the file when performing a yum update.
  • Fixes an issue that generated permission errors when manually invoking the dhclient -6 command on IPv6 enabled instances.

Note that changes to infrastructure such that images depend on can occur outside of the release of a particular image but could impact an image nonetheless. Security and Compliance

Oracle Linux platform images are based on the most recent release of Oracle Linux and are updated monthly. If you need to confirm the status of certifications, such as FIPS 140-3 or Common Criteria, see the Oracle Security Evaluations page for the latest information. FIPS mode is not enabled in Oracle Linux platform images. To modify this setting, see the FIPS section of the Oracle Linux Security Guide under Oracle Linux documentation or contact support for assistance.
