Note

On January 1, 2025, Oracle Linux 7 moved from Premier Support to Oracle Linux Extended Support. Oracle Cloud customers using Oracle Linux are entitled to both Premier Support and Extended Support (when offered).   • Includes all security updates as of July 28, 2020.
  • Adds the ip=single-dhcp kernel command-line parameter to speed up boot times for bare metal shapes.
  • Updates the Oracle Cloud Agent to the latest version. The OS Management service now uses a plugin that integrates with the Oracle Cloud Agent. The OS Management Service Agent plugin replaces the OS Management Service Agent (osms-agent) package . For more information, see Getting Started with OS Management.
  • Enhances cloud-init to resolve issues when using the hotplugged secondary VNIC feature.
  • Adds support for attaching up to 600 block storage volumes.
