Notable Changes

The following changes are notable in this image update:

  • Includes OS updates for bug fixes and security patches.
  • Includes a kernel mitigation for CVE-2021-33909.
  • Updates Nvidia drivers to package version 450.142.00-1 with fixes for CVE-2021-1093, CVE-2021-1094, and CVE-2021-1095.
  • Updates oci-utils package version to 0.12.5 to resolve backward compatibility issues with the oci-iscsi-config and oci-network-config utilities.

Security and Compliance

Oracle Linux platform images are based on the most recent release of Oracle Linux and are updated monthly. If you need to confirm the status of certifications, such as FIPS 140-3 or Common Criteria, see the Oracle Security Evaluations page for the latest information. FIPS mode is not enabled in Oracle Linux platform images. To modify this setting, see the FIPS section of the Oracle Linux Security Guide under Oracle Linux documentation or contact support for assistance.
