Release Notes

Note

On January 1, 2025, Oracle Linux 7 moved from Premier to Extended Support. Oracle Cloud customers using Oracle Linux are entitled to both Premier Support and Extended Support (when offered). For more information about the Extended Support program, see Oracle Linux Extended Support.

Notable Changes

The following changes are notable in this image update:

  • Includes OS updates for bug fixes and security patches.
  • The oraclelinux-els-release-el7.x86_64 package enables the following Oracle Linux Extended Support repositories:
    • ol7_latest_ELS
    • ol7_UEKR6_ELS
    • ol7_ksplice_ELS
