Manage Widgets
Management Dashboard provides a set of Oracle-defined widgets for the Observability & Management services it supports and enables you to create custom widgets that meet your specific requirements.
Oracle-defined widgets are ready-to-use visualization tools that display a wide variety of data and functionality to monitor your resources. Here's information about a few Oracle-defined widgets that you can use to monitor all supported Observability & Management service resources:
- Metric line chart: Enables you to quickly specify input parameters such as Namespace and Metric name and visualize the metric data stored in the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Monitoring service, in a line chart.
- Resources table: Lists the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure resources and common attributes returned using a resource query, in a table.
- Resources pie chart: Lists the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure resources and common attributes returned using a resource query, in a pie chart. By default, the Resources pie chart widget displays resources grouped by lifecycle state, however, you can edit the configured Group by widget input and select other options such as Resource type or Availability Domain.
The topics in this section provide information on the custom widgets you can create in Management Dashboard and other generic widget-related functionalities. In addition, you can:
- Create and execute a search query in the Logging Analytics Log Explorer, save the search as a widget and add it to a dashboard. For information, see Save a Log Search and Add It to a Dashboard.
- Save a SQL query in the Ops Insights Data Object Explorers, share it as a widget and add it to a dashboard. For information, see Save and Share SQL Queries.
