Switching to Another Module Stream on an Instance
Change the module stream that's enabled on an Oracle Linux instance in OS Management Hub.
Modules from third-party and private sources on the instance are listed, but you can't modify them using OS Management Hub. See Supported Actions with Third-Party and Private Sources.
If an instance is assigned to a lifecycle stage, you can't change its contents directly. Instead, manage its content through the lifecycle environment.
- On the Instances list page, select the name of the instance.
- Under Resources, select Modules.

On the row of a module, select the Actions menu (
) and select Edit Module.
- Under Module Stream, select the stream to manage.

Under Action, select the appropriate option:
- Enable the selected module stream for this instance
- Disable the selected module stream for this instanceNote
You must remove installed profiles before you can disable a module stream.

Specify the job schedule:
Schedule: Choose when to run the job.
- Run immediately: Select this option to run the job now.
- Schedule: Select this option to run the job at a future date and time. Select the calendar icon to select a date and time.
- Automatic Retry: When selected, if the initial execution of the job fails, the service retries the job up three times. Each retry is five minutes apart.

Show advanced options: Add tags to this resource.
If you have permissions to create a resource, then you also have permissions to apply free-form tags to that resource. To apply a defined tag, you must have permissions to use the tag namespace. For more information about tagging, see Resource Tags. If you're not sure whether to apply tags, ask an administrator or skip this option. You can apply tags later.
- Select Save changes.
Use the oci os-management-hub managed-instance switch-module-stream commands and required parameters to switch module streams.
