Moving a Profile to Another Compartment

Move a profile to another compartment in OS Management Hub. This can help restrict access to resources by placing them in a specific compartment.

Note

You can't move service-provided or default profiles from the root compartment.

Before you begin

Review compartment considerations for best practices when moving between compartments.
Navigate
Navigate to the Profiles list page.
Select the compartment that contains the profile you're interested in.
Select the name of the profile.
Move resource
On the profile details page, select Move resource.
Select the Destination compartment to move the profile to.
Select Move resource.
Use the oci os-management-hub profile change-compartment command and required parameters to move the profile to another compartment within the same tenancy.

oci os-management-hub profile change-compartment --profile-id ocid --compartment-id ocid[OPTIONS]
