K8-Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE) Host Capacity Planning

Ops Insights allows you to perform Host capacity planning insights on your OKE deployments.

Functionality

For this version:

• Auto-enable will work only in the compartment where the cluster is located. That is, we will listen only to node pools and worker nodes created in the same compartment.

• If a cluster is onboarded to Ops Insights, all worker nodes associated with the cluster will be automatically onboarded to Ops Insights, with no exceptions (as long as they are in the same compartment).

• If the cluster insight is disabled, all host insights associated with the cluster will be disabled.

• If the cluster is re-enabled, all host insights will be re-enabled, even if the host insight was deleted.

• If a worker node is created, auto-enable will be responsible for creating a host insight. Once the host insight is created, it can take up to 12 hours to associate it with the cluster insight.
