If you’re not sure about how to create a source, then you can use any existing
            log source to create a new one.
- Open the navigation menu and click Observability & Management. Under Log Analytics, click Administration. The Administration Overview page opens.
The administration resources are listed in the left hand navigation pane under Resources. Click Sources.
                        
 
 
- In the Sources page, click the menu icon next to the source entry based on
                    which you want to create a new source and select
                        Duplicate.
The Create Source page is displayed with the log definition
                    fields populated with the definitions of the existing source.
 
- Modify the source definition and click Save.
 
Note: It is recommended that you edit and customize an Oracle-defined source
                instead of making a duplicate of the Oracle-defined source and editing it. The new
                duplicated and edited source will not get any of the future Oracle updates.
