Creating a Maintenance Window

Create a maintenance window in Fleet Application Management.

• 1. Open the navigation menu  and select Observability & Management. Under Fleet Application Management, select Actions and Controls.
  2. Under Actions and Controls (on the left side of the page), click Maintenance Window.
  3. Click Create maintenance window.
  4. Enter a unique name and description for the maintenance window. For the name, only alphanumeric characters are supported. Avoid entering confidential information.
  5. For Outage, select whether an outage can cause downtime.
     • Yes means that downtime is allowed.
     • No means that no downtime is allowed.
  6. For Schedule, specify time, duration, and recurrence values for the maintenance window:
     • Start date and time: Select the date and time of the day that the maintenance window starts.
     • Duration: Select how long the maintenance window remains open.
     • Recurrence: Select this checkbox to specify the frequency of running the maintenance window. Then, provide the following information:
       • Repeat every: Select how often the maintenance window runs: daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly. If you select weekly or monthly, enter a value for Repeat on.
       • Repeat on: Select a day in the week when the maintenance window runs.
     • Ends: To specify when the maintenance window run ends, select one of the following options:
       • On: Select a date when the maintenance window run ends.
       • After: Enter the number of outage occurrences after which the maintenance window run ends.
  7. To enter Tagging information for the maintenance window, click Show tagging options. Then, select a tag namespace and tag key, and enter a tag value. Add more tags as needed. For more information about Tagging, see Resource Tags.
  8. Click Create.

  The maintenance window is created and is listed on the Maintenance windows list page.
