Confirming Targets

Confirm all targets that can then be available for lifecycle operations in Fleet Application Management.

On the fleet details page, view the status of the fleet resources. During target discovery, Fleet Application Management finds a list of targets that can't be applied for fleet lifecycle operations. Therefore, confirm the targets before proceeding with lifecycle operations. The fleet state displayed on its details page before confirmation of the targets is Review Pending.

Important

If auto confirmation of target resources is enabled when creating a fleet, you don't need to manually confirm the targets unless the fleet details page indicates that the targets can't be confirmed.

The following steps show how to confirm targets from the fleet details page. You can also confirm targets from the fleet details page by clicking More actions and selecting Manage targets.
1. Open the navigation menu and select Observability & Management. Under Fleet Application Management, select Fleets.
2. Click the name of the fleet that you want.

  To find a fleet by name, enter its name in the Search field.
  
  The details page for the fleet opens. Under Resources, if the state of the target resources appears Invalid, you must verify these targets before they can be used for lifecycle operations.
  At the top of the page, you can view the fleet state that Fleet Application Management updates in real time. When the fleet state appears as Review Pending or Confirm targets, you can verify the targets and confirm them.
3. To verify targets, click Confirm targets.
  The Confirm targets dialog box is displayed. You can view all the available targets for the fleet, their path, the type of product associated with the resource, and the parent fleet name.
4. From the list of Available targets, select the checkbox next to targets that you want to confirm for lifecycle operations and then click Add.
  The selected targets appear under Selected targets.
5. Verify the list of targets under Selected targets.
6. Click Confirm.
Use the oci fleet-apps-management fleet confirm-targets command and required parameters to confirm required targets that can then be available for fleet lifecycle operations:
