Monitoring Exadata Database Services in AWS
Oracle Database@AWS provides a mechanism within Amazon Web Services (AWS) to monitor Exadata Database Services. AWS is responsible for collection and storage of observability data.
To access monitoring services, do the following:
- Follow the steps to Access the Resource List (see Access the Resource List).
Note
Monitoring is only available for Exadata VM cluster resources. - Access the specifics of that resource by selecting the link in the Name field in the table.
Note
Monitoring is only available for resources in the Available status. - In the Summary for that resource, select the Monitoring tab.
Note
AWS and OCI use different metrics aggregation methods. AWS uses the last nearest time unit (for more information, see https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonCloudWatch/latest/monitoring/cloudwatch_concepts.html). OCI uses the next nearest time unit (for more information, see https://docs.oracle.com/en-us/iaas/Content/Monitoring/Concepts/monitoringoverview.htm).
