Changing the Default Connection

Change the default connection for a data asset in Data Catalog.

1. On the Home tab, select Data Assets to access the Data Assets tab.
2. In the Data Assets list, select the data asset you want to edit. The data asset details tab displays.
3. In the Summary tab, under Connection Information, select the Actions menu (three dots) for the connection you want to make as default and select Edit. The Update Connection panel opens as an overlay.
4. Select Make this the default connection for the data asset.
5. Select Update.
A notification displays indicating that the data asset is updated successfully and the Update Connection panel closes.
Use the update command and required parameters to change the default connection:
oci data-catalog connection update [OPTIONS]
