Enabling Organic Forecasting

Enable organic forecasts to get an oversight of the usage of resources in OCI Control Center.

Using the Console

  1. Open the navigation menu, click Governance & Administration, and then click Control Center.
  2. On the Regions Details page, from the left pane, select the resource for which you want to view the usage details.
    Note

By default, the Region Details for Compute page appears. If the Regions Details page doesn't display any information, select a different compartment from the Compartment list on the left side of the page.

The resources for which you can view the usage details are as Compute, Block Storage, Object Storage, File Storage Service, and Exadata.

    • Select a resource and the Region Details for selected resource page appears. OCC supports Intel Standard, AMD Standard, Intel Dense, and AMD Dense type of processors.

      Note

Only the processors available in your region are displayed.
  3. Expand Organic forecast and ensure that the Enable toggle switch is ON. The default time period is 30 days.
  4. Click the Start Date to select other date or use other quick time period options such as 1 month, 2 months, 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months.
Historical chart displays the forecast data after a vertical separator. It also displays the usage for the specified time period and the available capacity in Cores. The default time period is 30 days. Also, you can view data for the last 60 days, last 90 days, or specify a custom date range. The usage includes the following information:
    • Overhead usage (Cores)

    • Customer usage (Cores)
