Enabling/Disabling Out/Err File Rotation

You can enable and disable the Big Data Service out/err log rotation.

All service Out and Error files are considered for rotation by default. This can be disabled at the cluster level for components or at the individual component level to retain files for some use cases.

  1. Access Apache Ambari.
  2. From the side toolbar, under Services select ODH Utilities.
  3. Select Configs.
  4. Select OUT LOG ROTATION CONFIG.
  5. Update required configurations values.

    Common OUT file Config Enabled Enables/Disables out file rotation for all components that supports out and error file log.

  6. Select Save.
  7. Select the Services '...' icon, and then select Restart all required.
