Using Tags
Use a word or a phrase as tags to classify objects in the data catalog. Tags are free-form annotations that help you capture tribal knowledge at the data catalog object level based on your business needs.
Linking Tags to Data Objects
You link data objects to tags so that you can locate it easily at a later point in time.
You can search tagged data objects by entering the tag name in the Search within this data catalog field or you can click a tag in the Popular Data Catalog Tags tile on the Home tab to fetch all data objects linked to the selected tag name.
Viewing Tags
All the tags that are created in Data Catalog are displayed in the Popular Data Catalog Tags tile on the Home tab. To view all the data objects linked to a tag in your data catalog instance, click the tag in the tile.
